As an experienced theatre maker and circus artist and Shunt founder Layla Rosa creates powerful theatrical acts which combine original choreography with striking stage craft.

Duelling Banjos
A duel on ropes. An old fashioned stand off played out on two corde lisse by  highly skilled aerial artists, set to the classic Duelling Banjo’s track.

The Bellydance
A choreography of call and response between a  bellydancer and an aerialist, both highly skilled short solos and duets on the floor and silks or trapeze.

Strings on Strings
A beautiful and moving choreography on 3 corde lisse performed by 3 highly skilled aerialists to an original composition written for strings.  Can be performed with or without a string quartet.

A Turkish Tale
A dynamic and colourful static trapeze act set to Eartha Kitts famous tune “Uskedar”.

Something
A static trapeze act with live accordion, inspired by Frederico Fellinis film La Strada.

Aquarium
Half human, half fish, this beautiful underwater choreography on corde lisse is set to the famous ‘Aquarium’ music by Camille Saint Saens.
